  11. I am posting this here as I have not been called back by USR
  12. or their Canadian agents.

  14. I thought the Creative Labs tech support was bad, but USR
  15. is beginning to get on my bad side.
  16.  
  17. Recently we received 5 of the new 33.6 externals, and 
  18. placed them in use. These modems are constantly freezing on us 
  19. and losing their connections to the COM port. The DTR light 
  20. goes out on these modems, and it is not possible
  21. to use a terminal to connect to them until they are reset. 
  22. These modems are in use on a Unix system connected to 
  23. RisComm/Digiboard serial boards.

  25. The strange thing is is that we have lots of the older 28.8 
  26. Sportsters, and we never have any problems. None of the
  27. new 33.6 modems work reliably. An ati4 of the modems looks like:

  31. The escape character is Ctrl-\ (ASCII 28, FS)
  32. Type the escape character followed by C to get back,
  33. or followed by ? to see other options.
